Job Title:Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to:Workshop Manager

Main function of job:

The provision of engineering support to all production facilities and manufacture/assembly of special purpose machinery.

Main duties:

To provide engineering support to all manufacturing facilities with particular emphasis on routine maintenance and repair of production machinery and assistance with machine changeover.Must have milling and turning experience.

Manufacture of component parts, build and assembly of special purpose machines allied to manufacturing processes, ensuring that a high level of workmanship and quality if maintained at all times.

Monitor stock levels of raw materials, consumables, tools and sub-contract manufactured components; liasing with Workshop Manager to ensure re-ordering is initiated in good time.

Assist Senior Mechanical Engineer/Workshop Manager/Factory Manager as and when required during installation/maintenance of plant at factory premises.

Additional

Requirements:

Good all round electrical knowledge – 3-phase 240 and low voltage

Hours:40 hours per week.Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Half hour lunch break daily.

Holidays:20 days per annum
