Job Description

Depot Manager/Contracts Manager Hemel Hempstead £30,000 - £35,000 Plus Performance-Related Bonus Our client is a family owned and run business that works on behalf of various NHS Primary Care Trusts and Social Services to provide Specialist Healthcare Community Equipment and Wheelchairs to help people live more independently within their own homes. They are now looking to recruit a Depot Manager/Contracts Manager. This is the ideal position for an experienced candidate with first class leadership skills and a background in contract/budget management. As the Depot Manager/Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing the full depot operations, which will involve the performance of the staff, and the quality and quantity of the workload for the effective operation of their Wheelchair contracts with the NHS Trusts. Your main responsibilities will include: * leading, coaching, and motivating a team of drivers, warehouse and customer services staff * managing team resourcing including recruitment, staff training and performance reviews * stock control - ensuring stock is correctly issued, received and maintained * scheduling all van runs for driver technicians * day to day maintenance of the depot including health and safety * delivering target profitability and management of the budget To be considered for this position you must have proven management experience and a background in contracts and budget management. As the Depot Manager/Contracts Manager you should also be an excellent communicator with a UK driving licence, and a flexible, adaptable and positive approach to your work. Previous depot, warehouse or logistics experience would be beneficial, as would a background in the healthcare industry, or experience of managing KPIs and meeting targets. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Hemel Hempstead or be willing to relocate.
