Job Description
We are looking for RMN / RNLD \'s to work in this purpose built, private hospital. This company has been established for 15 years, specializing in the treatment for people with a primary diagnosis of Autism. The hospital consists of multiple units for varying degrees of service users including forensic mental health and learning disabilities as well as various personality disorders. You will be working alongside the Multi Disciplinary Team and Link workers to provide excellent care. AIMS / PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: •To co-ordinate and provide the care and treatment of an identified group of patients without direct supervision.•To assist in the management and organisation of work as required.•Take responsibility for the development of practice and the delivery of evidence based practice, ensuring that it supports and reflects service user needs, Care objectives and professional guidance.•Contribute to the development of high quality in-patient services in a changing health care environment.•Contribute to the implementation of evidence based practice within the area; this work will be supported by the Unit Manager.•To ensure continuous personal development through the utilisation of regular supervision, annual appraisal and training. Key Responsibilities •To effectively run the operations of the unit whilst on shift and provide clear guidance and support to the ASD Link Workers / Practitioners. •Effectively communicate sensitive information to patients and/or relatives and carers concerning the physical and/or psychological condition of the patient.•Attend meetings and forums, representing the hospital at various levels as required. •Ensuring that all clinical and other information is gathered, stored and passed on to relevant hospital service/personnel. In addition ensure that all written and electronically stored information is accessible only to authorised personnel and is stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act. •Ensuring the development and maintenance of systems for effective communication with all patients, carers, visitors, staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team. All applicants must have a suitable knowledge and/or willingness to learn about Autistic Spectrum Disorder, nurses without previous experience will be considered.
